Hi, I'm Emily.

letter-i‘m always itching to put up the tree long before Thanksgiving. In fact, I’d be happy putting it up in September. So the day after Thanksgiving is always a great flurry of unpacking the ornaments and setting up the tree. I thought I’d share for a few reasons, but mostly so I can remember next year where I had arranged everything. 🙂

A few years ago I saw this feather boa wreath on Pinterest and decided to try it. It was pretty much an epic fail (and, by the way, ended up costing more than if I had just purchased one already made), but I hung onto it for some reason and I love how it hangs on my piano shelf now!

My Thinker got reindeer antlers this year. Ha!

I really wanted to make a snowflake garland so I invited my nieces to help me on Thanksgiving. It turned out that they liked all their snowflakes so they kept them for themselves…ha! But my mom and sister-in-law helped provide some so that I’d have enough. I sewed them onto a red ribbon and hung it up between the kitchen and living room.
