Something came over me last night. I think it was because I was dreaming about food all day at work. I got home around 6 o’clock and immediately went to work making bread dough. After kneading it, I steamed up the bathroom and then set it in there to rise.
While that was happening, I went grocery shopping and came back with bags of groceries. I grilled the beef chunks, sauteed onions, carrots, and garlic, and soaked rice in water. While that was happening, I started baking the first loaf of bread and then started chopping up onions, cilantro, tomatoes, peppers, japenos, and garlic for fresh salsa.
I’m serious, I was really on a roll here.
It was probably 10 o’clock before I was finally done, but I was also really happy because the bread was absolutely perfect, the salsa was amazing (I ran out of chips within 5 minutes!), and the Uzbek osh took me right back to Samarqand. The kitchen was a mess, but it was worth it because I ate my fill.
As if that wasn’t enough though, I got up this morning, mowed my lawn, pulled weeds, vacuumed, did laundry, cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen, and water my plants.
For the rest of the weekend, I plan on doing NOTHING. I am worn out.
