Hi, I'm Emily.

Everyone has an opinion. You don’t even have to be around anyone to know that. Television, radio talk shows, ads, commercials, internet, the list goes on and on of opinions and views. Due to a recent training on the extremely positive effects of red grapes (including the skin, center, juice, and vine) in skin care and the ever-increasing interest of organics and naturals, I am starting to research The Red Wine Theory as I have taken to calling it.

It has been said over the years, especially since the 1990’s, that red wine has positive health benefits including, but not limited to, lower chances of heart attacks, reducing risks of all heart diseases, lowering cholesteral, and stopping the formation of fatty streaks on the walls of the arteries which cause clogged arteries. There are also skin benefits due to drinking red wine because of the antioxidants in red wine.

As part of my study, I have started a daily skin care regimen using Caudalie Vinoperfect products. They are made in France at a vineyard. So far, I have been using these products for two days and do not see much of a difference, but it is a three-week trial so I cannot make a full report until the three weeks are done.

As for the red wine, I am already on a relatively healthy diet and I love fitness and exercise so I feel that I’m already on a pretty healthy track with my body. I am going to pick up a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon-derived red wine (that is said to be the best for health results) tomorrow though and start by taking a small amount of wine every evening. I have not quite determined how I will measure the health benefits of it though, as I am not prone to heart attacks or clogged arteries.

This is all an experiment so I guess I will work out the fine details as I go. If anyone finds articles either for or against this, please let me know as I’m trying to collect all information for a well-formed personal determination of the effects of red wine for the health of my body.

For now, I’ve got to go apply some grape serum to my face. It sounds better if I call it “serum eclat anti-taches” though, as it says on the vial, but the problem with that is that I can’t pronounce it and I’m pretty sure you can’t either. But who am I to say?

  1. Piper says:

In addition to drinking red wine for longevity, we should also follow the example of the French who lives on a active lifestyle and good diet. With that in mind, red wine, consumed in moderation will prevent heart diseases and cancer cells from developing. But there are other sources where to buy resveratrol capsules which are concentrated with resveratrol compared to red wine itself.
