Apparently, I was the one least concerned about the whole ordeal on Monday night. Maybe it’s because Kevin turned on Protector Mode and so I felt safe, even at a distance. Maybe it’s because I knew my doors were adequately locked. Maybe it’s because I’m just too naive to think that something dangerous could actually happen.
Any way you look at it, I honestly wasn’t too concerned. I mean, I obviously called the police, but after they performed a routine inspection of the surroundings, I felt safe enough to plop into bed and fall asleep.
So, for the record, I’m safe and sound, no harm, no foul. I am watchful of my surroundings and on the alert, but my daily life keeps going on. As silly as it sounds, I’m still quite more terrified of an animal in my toilet than I am of someone banging on my door.
