I have nothing to post about, yet I am typing because blogging is like going to a counselor except that it’s free. And public.
Kevin and I went to see Stomp this weekend in Des Moines. It was so much fun! On our way out, we were discussing all the shows we’ve gone to and how every single one has been “inspiring.” (I said that; Kevin said they were all “good.”) Then I said that I feel very distinguished going to shows. I used to think it was a waste of money to see live performances, but my mind completely changed a few years ago and now I’m hooked. This is our track record for the last year: Hairspray, Cirque du Soleil Corteo, Wicked, Stomp, and The Blue Man Group. Every single one has been so amazing and so much fun. I think my top two would have to be Cirque du Soleil and Wicked, but really, I would go see every other show again too.
Carla and I have both seen Mamma Mia, but at separate times so someday we’re going to go to it together since we are absolute ABBA fanatics and have performed many lively renditions of their Hits albums. (**Also, we had the great privilege of doing a live taping segment of our performance of “Waterloo” while we were in the Waterloo Station in London! Brilliant!**) Seriously. It’s not only lively, but loud too. Sometimes we use wrapping paper rolls as our microphones. You would love to hear us karaoke.
