Hi, I'm Emily.

Irony.

They say that gray hair means a person is wise, yet everyone panics at the first sight of a gray hair. At the say time that they talk about gray-haired wisdom, they also say that children turn parents’ hair gray, which would mean that gray hair isn’t a sign of wisdom, but more from trouble, anguish, and stress. Hah.

In that same manner, where did the term wisdom teeth come from? At the first sign of wisdom teeth on the x-ray, they must be ripped from your jaw. I’d rather keep mine, thank you very much.

Instead, I learned today that it is time for mine to go. I’ve been kindly ignoring all dentist advice in regards to wisdom teeth for the past 2 years. Today, it was determined that I can’t ignore it anymore. My wisdom teeth are pushing against the roots of my other teeth and must be taken out, all four of them.

Of course, this sent me in a tail wind of panic. My doctor told me, kindly, that I could wait until after the wedding. That being said, I now have 4 months to look forward to my surgery…

Good riddance to wisdom.
