Hi, I'm Emily.

There are two things that I love: ice cream and things that are mini.  My ice cream variations range from chocolate chip cookie dough (a childhood favorite) to coffee to chocolate to vanilla bean to pumpkin and pretty much everything in between with the exception of anything mint and/or caramel.  Several weeks ago, I spotted the cutest, miniest ice cream containers in Hy-Vee.  I begged Kevin to let me buy them, but he is much like my father and sees no use in buying something small when he can buy something much larger for the same price.  (This is especially true when it comes to ice cream!)  Finally yesterday, there was a sale on my mini cups of ice cream and so we each got one.  I got Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream and Kevin got Ben & Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough.

My favorite part of the whole experience?: each mini cup comes with it’s own individual spoon that’s stuck inside the lid.  It is the cutest and most delicious experience ever!  (Carla, I know that you would love this too so next time we’re together, we must get our own little mini ice creams!)

They look delightful. But I am also my father’s daughter… why buy a little bit of ice cream, when you can buy a lot for the same price??

  2. Emily says:

I used to do that too, but this time they stayed in the cart and they are WELL WORTH the extra money! The happiness is overwhelming!

this cracks me up….everytime I go to the grocery store, I always stare at the mini icecreams for like10-15 min….select some, put them in my cart, put them back cuz its a waste of money…and usually repeat. I dont know what the attraction is. 🙂
    Love you!
