Today, by some fluke, Kevin & I both got out of work early so we met at the theatre to see a matinee. We (obviously) picked the movie Up because a) it’s 3D and b) it got a 5-star rating and c) it’s 3D.

I was absolutely obsessed with my 3D glasses and refused to put them in the recycle box afterwards and am proudly wearing them around the house now. Kevin is too. Because we’re both such huge nerds like that. I’m thinking I might just start wearing them as a fashion statement. I don’t follow the trends; I start the trends.

Anyway, the movie was fantastic. I was completely shocked at first by the 3D animation, but got used to it more after a while (I kept moving in my seat like I was dodging things!). I found it highly entertaining that the [female] bird’s name was Kevin and so I couldn’t stop laughing about that. Of course, Kevin didn’t think it was funny. Even if the movie hadn’t been a hit though, the glasses would’ve made it worth it–haha.

Here is Pixar’s bird Kevin. I don’t know which character I liked best; the old man for being so darn cute; the little boy for being so…funny; the dog for saying things like, “I was under the porch because I love you.”; or the bird for being named Kevin and hissing at the dog all the time. There were a LOT of children there, but aside from one of them crying and one of them sucking on a straw, I was too mesmerized to notice.

We are so hot.
