Hi, I'm Emily.
In preface, beware: For the past couple of months, my Monday and Tuesday nights revolved around Dancing With The Stars (i.e. DWTS). Kevin would never admit to watching it, but after all my talk about each person–“Oh, did you just see Chuck kick Julianne in the face?”–as if I knew them all on a first-name basis, Kevin began to know who I was talking about as well.
All that to preface that my husband is so freaking hilarious. I know that I first fell in love with him because he was funny and sweet, but in the last year of wedding planning (and long-distance prior to that), I think we both got a little stressed out and forgot to laugh at the normal, funny things that we say and do. Now that the wedding is over, whew, and our lives are falling into a normal pattern, all of the funniest lines have emerged with it. Though Kevin makes me laugh on a daily basis, here’s the best one from this week.
We were in the parking lot at the mall and drove past a row with an empty space. I told him, but wasn’t quick enough so he had to back up to get into the row. Well, he did some weird backing up thing that meant several drive-reverse series to get into the row. I was so confused and nervous about it when Kevin spit out, “Monte [his car’s name] is doing a pirouette. It’s like Dancing with the Cars.”
I laughed so hard I thought I might pee my pants. I love my life!
