Hi, I'm Emily.

I’m almost through the week. One more run…

I am doing very good at getting up at 6:30. Kevin used to have to practically pull me out of bed by my feet at 7:30 and now I’m out of bed almost before he is. (That’s kind of miraculous.)
This morning, my big motivation was that Kevin had to leave for work at 7:20 so when I left the house at 6:45, I knew I needed to get back quickly because I didn’t take a key with me so either a) he couldn’t lock the door or b) I would be locked out. That was helpful motivation because, after 4 days straight of running, plus a Body Pump class on Monday and yoga last night, my body is feeling a little worn. It was definitely harder to push myself this morning. The weather has been perfect though, which helps. I solved the sweat blisters problem by wearing my yoga capris to run this morning–worked like a charm. My reward for making it through week 2 is a nice, relaxing weekend in St. Louis with Kevin. We are going to have a blast and I’m especially looking forward to the zoo. (I don’t even like animals!)
Peace, Ensure, and yoga pants.
P.S. I just logged into my nikeplus workout site that keeps track of all my runs via my iPod and I have logged over 70 miles since I started running with my nikeplus system. Whew! I’m in the orange zone. Next up: green!

Brittni says they sell this gel stuff at the running store to put on the inside of your thighs and it makes them just glide against each other. She uses it and swears by it.
