Hi, I'm Emily.
I got a little too ambitious over the weekend. I’m blaming it on the weather, but yesterday afternoon I got in the mood to go running so I kicked out another 2.75 miles, but in the fastest time ever recorded (10.03/mile)! Lance Armstrong even congratulated me when I was done (via my iPod).
This morning was not so fast. I was so tired and I had a terrible nightmare last night so I was just exhausted when 6:30 hit. I kept my eyes closed for the first mile of the run until I got into the groove of it and could finally wake up, but it showed in my time (10.34/mile–one of the worst in a long time). Here’s where the irony of me, who is not a morning person, getting up at 6:30 meets me, who is also not really the runner-type, running at 6:30.
Let’s just say this morning wasn’t so great. Add on top of that I forgot my Body Glide yesterday so I got two huge patches of blisters on my legs. I piled on the Body Glide this morning, but apparently, the blisters hadn’t settled down yet from last night so now I still have two large, painful patches of blisters. Ugh. I also have Body Pump tonight at 5:30, which should be particularly painful because I haven’t been there for 2 weeks. Bring it on.
