Hi, I'm Emily.

I did it.

Today finishes my personal challenge to run 5 days a week for 4 weeks. In the process, I have morphed into a stronger runner. Actually, it could be said that I have morphed in a runner [period] as I really wasn’t much of one 4 weeks ago when I started this little trek.
I’ve learned that not all things are enjoyable at the time, but the feeling of doing something good, of accomplishing something hard, is worth the effort. I learned that some days you love it, some days you hate it, some day you have side aches, some days you feel like a million bucks, some days you beat your average pace, and some days you go slower than ever. But overall, a learned appreciation for running is akin to acquiring a taste…it just takes time.
Well, time, diligence, comfortable running shoes, high-impact sports bra, lots of water, non-cotton shorts, Body Glide, and an alarm clock that just won’t shut up.
Peace, love, repeat.
P.S. Yes, I am eating Nutella for breakfast. It is well-worth every mile I ran.

Go, Emily!!! You are amazing. I wish I could motivate myself to do that – I actually really like jogging when my body is used to it. Maybe I will challenge myself! 🙂
