Hi, I'm Emily.

Apparently, a bad mood and bad weather make for a good run. Tonight, I was feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and irritable so I did the only thing I could think to do to cool off (figuratively; it was literally very hot outside)–I took off for a run. (I did not know this, but apparently, I can run much faster when I’m in a bad mood. Hah.)

Kevin texted me when I had just turned around to head back home to warn me of the impending storm. I saw the dark sky to the west and knew I had to run a little bit faster to beat it home. I was literally running into the storm and it was the weirdest looking storm cloud(s) ever. It was like a horizontal slice of darkness. The top had little gnarly, black fingers jutting out and the bottom was so low to the ground that I could’ve jumped up and touched it. I ran up my sidewalk just as the rain hit, but I managed to get one quick picture with my phone, though by the time I took the picture, the gnarly fingers were out of sight and the shape had changed a little. It was really cool though! (P.S. The run helped; I’m feeling in a much better mood now.)

I bet if you had a Nike+, you would like running better. And you can use it for walking so you could pretend like we were walking in the park again like we used to do. Man, I miss you. (Also, I miss how we'd get ice cream afterwards to justify our workouts.)

Crazy cloud! That would have made me run faster too. Though I wouldn't have been out running in the first place I suppose.

From what I know that's a gust front cloud, ahead of the storm, also called a "Deracho." On radar it's called a bow echo. I think this is accurate anyway. Not tornadic as I don't believe there was any rotation. But ya, we saw it in Tiffin, too – Pretty impressive. I got some pics too. Check out my FB page.
