Hi, I'm Emily.

It’s nearly 10 o’clock and I have yet to pack my overnight bag(s) for our trip to Des Moines this holiday.  I am procrastinating.  I went to Pi-Yo (combination Pilates and yoga) tonight at the gym.  I figured an hour of that will allow me a second serving tomorrow.  Then I came home and made my family’s graham cracker fluff recipe.  No one understands what this is (unless they are of the Miller family clan), but Kevin will vouch for it’s goodness.  He was introduced to it at some point in our dating period and last year it was introduced into his family.  It’s making a repeat at this year’s Thanksgiving.

Since I won’t be here tomorrow on Thanksgiving day blogging, I am going to mention a few things that I’m thankful for now.  I know this seems corny since everyone posts sappy blogs about thankfulness on Thanksgiving.  I guess I’m beating everyone to the punch.  Quite frankly though, I think we all to learn to be more thankful and appreciative every day and not just on certain calendar days.

I am thankful for…

Kevin.  He’s the love of my life and my partner forever.  I love hanging out with him and I love being his friend and wife.  I’m thankful that this is only the beginning of a lifetime together.

My family.  Need I say more?

Our condo.  It’s a nice place to live and we’ve made it our own.

My camera.  It helps me capture memories forever.

The piano that we are storing for friends.  It’s an outlet for me and music will always be a passion of mine.  What will I do when they move?  I better start saving my pennies.

Nutella.  It’s only the best chocolate in the world and my number one craving.  Life with Nutella is so much sweeter.  No pun intended.

Our zebra-print throw.  It was a wedding gift (thank you, Greg and Tara!) and it is the coziest, softest blanket ever!  It’s also a perfect size.  You know how sometimes those throws barely cover your legs let alone your toes?  Well, this is oversized and perfect.  If I were a baby, I suck my thumb when I’m wrapped in it.  Also, it’s zebra-print.  Nothing else needs to be said about that.  Love it.

Edward & Bella.  Okay, so I know that they are fictional humans/vampires, but I love them and I love that they remind me of what love should be like.  It’s romance to the core.  (Yes, I’m Team Edward.  Suck it, Team Jacob.)

My Bed Head Brunette Goddess shampoo and conditioner.  It smells edible.  I have not tried tasting it though.

My iPod Touch, Meredith and my Nike+ running shoes.  Together, they’ve helped me realize how much I enjoy running.  They inspire me.  Also, Meredith has the Scrabble app, which I am very thankful for because I have learned many new words including “qi”.

Christmas.  I love Christmas and I look forward to it more than any other season.  It’s only 31 days until Christmas and I am thrilled.

Hot showers.  One of which I am going to go take.  Enough procrastination…

Looking forward to turkey and cracker fluff and time spent with my new family.  Happy Thanksgiving.  Enjoy.
