Hi, I'm Emily.

I found the perfect tree.

I spotted it yesterday beside the interstate when I went to Williamsburg.  I just had to go back and take a picture.  This tree deserved it’s picture to be taken.  It’s not very often that you find a perfectly round-shaped tree.  It happened to be right beside an on-ramp to the interstate and, conveniently, the on-ramp doesn’t have a lot of traffic.  I parked my car nearby and hiked there to try to find the perfect angle.  It turned out to be much colder outside that I had expected and I didn’t have mittens in my car so I didn’t spend as much time scoping it out as I would’ve liked, but I did get my shot (along with about 30 others).

I thought it might be fun to do a 4-seasons picture of this tree.  I imagine that it will be gorgeous when it’s doused with fresh snow and equally gorgeous with budding leaves.

Also, while I was out today (I had to exchange my new running shoes–I stupidly got wides instead of regulars even though it was written very boldly across the front “WIDE”.), I was sporting my Ohio State official team cap (and coordinating leggings, scarf, and shirt).  I felt just a little bit smug when passing by people wearing Iowa gear.  One man commented on it and said that I was in the wrong place to be wearing those clothes.  He was like, “The game didn’t turn out so good.”  I said, “Oh really?  I thought the game turned out fantastic!”  He left me alone after that.  This is me after I took pictures of my favorite tree.

You, friend, deserve "Fan of the Year" for continuing to live in enemy territory while still cheering on the Bucks. O-H!
