I changed my blog look. I always try to keep my blog current with the times. I am a secret nerd who thrives on the little things like HTML configuring and JavaScripts. So it’s easy enough for me to quickly change my blog. However, every time I change it, I just kind of miss how it looked before. Not that I don’t love the new look–after all, why else would I change?–but because I miss the familiarity of the old.
Before this current screen with hearts and love, I had a simple grey-blue background with a simple tree with white buds. It looked peacefully wintery. I think I have picked out my March background, but after Valentine’s Day comes my birthday so I should probably do a background to celebrate that.
Enough rambling about backgrounds. Is it that obvious that I like to blog even when I have nothing to blog about?
I typically do not like reading quotes on other peoples’ blogs. In fact, I always skim over them if I’m honest. So whether you skim or not is up to you. Here’s my inspirational poem as of late. (I also always skip over poems.) It comes from my new favorite book trilogy (The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins). This poem, to me, holds the sweetest of true love.
Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
Lay down your head, and close your sleepy eyes
And when again they open, the sun will rise.
Here it’s safe, here it’s warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.
Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it’s morning, they’ll wash away.
