Hi, I'm Emily.

Is it inappropriate to blog about a bra?  I don’t think so.  It’s revolutionary.

Here’s the deal: I have always, always hated strapless bras.  They never provide the support I need. (I hail generations of large-chested women…myself being on the smaller end!)  I had trouble before as an average-sized young lady, but in the last few years, as my breasts increased in size, so did my horror.  I thought, “This is never going to end!  They are just going to keep growing!!”  In fact, the day I visited VS to get resized {again} and they told me I was a D-cup, I just about crapped my pants and actually left the store in denial.  Furthermore, I was spending hundreds of dollars on my favorite bra from VS, only to find that I had to throw it out 6 months later for a larger one.  (The bra itself wasn’t hundreds of dollars, but with each throw-out, I had to purchase a few new ones, thus adding up.)

Knowing that I had a few weddings coming up this month and with summer arriving, I started my search for the perfect strapless bra, knowing it wasn’t out there.

Boy, was I wrong!!!  That’s right, ladies, there is a strapless bra for all of us.

I started as VS obviously because that’s where my favorite bras are.  They had nothing to meet my needs.  I kept going, hitting up every store I could think of with strapless bras.  Do you understand how frustrating it is to try on bras?  I hate trying on clothes anyway, so I was at my whits end with this bra search.

Store visitations weren’t doing it for me so I took it to Google.  My online research came up with a surprising little number.  It’s made by Wonderbra, but it’s not sold in the U.S.  I read the reviews. I watched the advertisements online.  I couldn’t believe that this bra might actually be the revolutionary support I dreamed about!

As hard as it is to determine your size in stores (every brand fits differently), I took the online Wonderbra sizer and bit my lip and ordered my strapless bra from Europe.  It came three weeks later through customs and everything.  It was fantastic, but it felt just a little too small so I shipped it back and exchanged it for a size bigger.

Yesterday, my new bra came (just in time for the wedding tomorrow!) and it is magical.  I wore it today just to test it out and I want to just tell everyone I see that they need this bra.  Who knew that I would find a strapless bra that not only works, but that I actually like enough to wear with a non-strapless-bra-needed-dress!!

Wonderbra, you have made my world.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart (and chest)!  But please, bring this wonder bra to the U.S.  It’s expensive to pay shipping from Europe.

Sincerely,
Emily
