My long-time friend, Jewel, came back to Iowa for a visit.  This called for a mandatory girl’s night obviously.  Last night, Jewel, Nikki, and I met up for some yummy Asian cuisine and Mekong restaurant.  These were our entree choices (after much, much deliberation over the extensive menu!)

My fortune cookie said, “Actions speak louder than words.”  I didn’t think about it until that same phrase came back to haunt me today, spoken by someone who didn’t even know that was in my fortune cookie last night.

We attempted to go out for coffee after much other running around, but found out that the coffee shop had closed 5 minutes before we got there.  Plan B was going to McDonalds, getting some ice cream sundaes and decalf coffees and heading over to my place.  We took this next series of pictures with the camera propped up by the television on self-timer.  Hilarious.
