I’ve known Roxie for several years. One of the first things I remember about her is finding out that we share the same middle name: Lorae. It’s not a common name and neither of us had ever met someone else who shared it. That was our first common bond. We developed a great friendship during our 3 months together in Columbus, Ohio before we both separately went overseas. Roxie always has a kind word and a genuine smile, not to mention the most heartfelt laughter you’ve ever heard. You won’t meet a kinder soul.
I was both honored and thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding. I had not yet met her fiance, but I knew that he would be an exceptional man to have snagged Roxanne Lorae.
They had a beautiful wedding. It was typical humid Kansas weather, but the entire bridal party were super troopers and smiled through the sweat. It was a beautiful blue sky, puffy cloud kind of a day.
Roxie & Dave, thank you for trusting me with this responsibility! I had so much fun. I wish you a world of happiness as you’ve begun a new phase of life together. The love in your eyes for each other was overflowing and your faces were simply beaming. You are a beautiful, sweet couple. Congratulations!
