Welcome to my blog!  This is a little “get to know me” page that I thought I’d share with my readers.  


If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll notice that I blog about my life, my upbringing, my childhood, my marriage, my family, and just about everything else that I feel the need to share.  That’s pretty much the best “get to know me” kind of nitty-gritty you could find out if you really wanted to find out about me.  If you’re just looking for an at-a-glace stalk-over look, here are some randoms just for you.


WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?  Not that I’m aware, although my mom’s mother’s name was Emma.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?  Two nights ago; I always tear up when I see the OSU commercial with all of the photos people have submitted doing O-H-I-O all around the world.
DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING?  If I’m trying to write a note to someone, I hate it because it’s too sloppy, but if I’m trying to be artsy, then I like it a lot.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT?  Buffalo Chicken Breast (at your local Fareway)
DO YOU HAVE KIDS?  No children and none on the way.
DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT?  Yes.  I get that from my husband.
DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS?  Yes.
WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP?  No, I’m too afraid of the cord snapping.  If I were forced by gunpoint to do it, I would concede only to jumping over a body of water, i.e. off of a bridge.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL?  Cinnamon Toast Crunch
DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF?  The only shoes I wear that lace-up are my running shoes so, yes, I untie them because I always tighten them up before running to avoid blisters.
DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG?  Physically?: so-so.  Mentally?:  no.  If I were even verbally threatened with torture, I would give up my knowledge.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM?  Since childhood, chocolate chip cookie dough.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?  Their body language.  I make judgments too quickly sometimes, but most of the time, I’d dead on about a person from their body language.
RED OR PINK?  It’s a tough choice, but mostly pink.
WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST?  Carla, my sister who lives in Ohio
WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING?  I’m wearing my husband’s blue sweatpants that are three sizes too big (which I have ruined over the course of several years worth of wear now) and no shoes, I’m barefoot
WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU ATE?  Just minutes ago I ate so much brocolli + cauliflower salad!
WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW?  My husband playing a video game and the whir of the ceiling fan
IF YOU WHERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE?  Royal blue
FAVORITE SMELLS?  Freshly mown grass, burning leaves, my mom’s kitchen, my husband fresh from a shower
WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE?  The guy who took my phone order today at Buffalo Wild Wings
FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH?  Ohio State Buckeyes football
EYE COLOR?  brown
DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS?  No, but I just recently got glasses.
FAVORITE FOOD?  Ice cream, cake, Nutella, and s’mores (yep, I’m a health nut!)
SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?  Happy endings.  Always.
LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED?  Just today, I pulled out one of my favorites: “The Proposal”
WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING?  White with little blue stars
SUMMER OR WINTER?  Neither.  I’m a Spring & Fall kind of girl.
HUGS OR KISSES?  Hugs!  I believe that everyone needs at least 3 hugs a day.
FAVORITE DESSERT?  Oh, didn’t I list desserts in the “favorite food” section?  Well, I guess I did leave out the chocolate lava cake.
WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW?  Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
WHAT IS ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?  A mouse
WHAT DID YOU WATCH ON TV LAST NIGHT?  Kat Von D + the LA Ink group.  My favorite TV shows are Glee, Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, Modern Family, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and Parenthood.
FAVORITE SOUND?  The ocean waves against the sand
ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES?  Beatles
WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME?  Uzbekistan
DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT?  I think that everyone has talent that is special.  My special talent is my artistic abilities (music, photography, writing, designing, etc.).

WHAT TIME IS IT NOW?  Bedtime.
