Hi, I'm Emily.
“Okay, if I ask you to point that arrow towards me, do you promise that it will be safe and you won’t kill me…literally?”
I don’t usually ask my clients this question, but he’s my brother…and he had a bow and arrow in his hands. It seemed a legitimate and necessary question really. So, with much hesitation, we figured out a way to safely take this shot on the left. (Do not attempt this at home!) Also, to note, the photo on the right is by the tree stand where he shot his first deer.
When Jordan was born, I had been the baby of the family for 7 years. At that time, we were a family of three girls and one boy. Two surprises and 10 years later, we were even: three and three. The day Jordan was born, I became an older sister and I had a ketchup-stained white shirt on when I got to hold him, all squishy and red and 10 pounds big. Finally, a real live doll!!! (The ketchup-stained shirt was a result of a spill during my McDonald’s Happy Meal lunch while we waited in the hospital waiting room to hear the news. It was a devastating thing for a 7 year old who had worn a special new outfit just for her new sibling!)
So here he is, all grown up and 17 and handsome. My real live doll became a young man. How did this happen?!
For more of Jordan’s photos, click here. I will be adding to the album as I edit.
ok so the trick was i took the arrow off the string and just pulled the arrow back so it looked like i was acually aiming at her….lol…it would have been impossible to shoot the arrow
