It’s been slow this winter in the photography business, which is fine and expected. Being a “naturalist” photographer, I prefer to stay outside for pictures and use natural light. Nevertheless, I cannot resist the Veal family and their house has large windows that provide fantastic lighting in the early afternoon so my flash got to stay packed away during the entire session.

This is a family that keeps coming back and every time it just gets better. The kids are growing so fast and are as charming as always. My new assistant, Kierra, joined me on this shoot and we both agreed afterwards that this family is beautiful all around. They’ve got the genes, you know. Those lucky, beautiful genes.
