Hi, I'm Emily.

We are friends and we love each other, shopping, and coffee.  It’s always a pleasureful mixture of laughter, exhaustion, coffee intake, and subsequent caffeine-highs.  It’s always a good time no matter how you look at it.

A little over a year ago, I didn’t know these people.  I can’t imagine how my life would be right now without them.  I found my best friend and I got the bonus of her sister and a plethora of other lovely ladies.  My life has changed in a lovely, beautiful way.  Girlfriends are underestimated.  When you’ve got friends like mine, you can’t help but just smile from the blessing of it all.  I honestly don’t know how to express how thankful I am.  There aren’t words.

But there are pictures…  We went on our (almost) monthly trip to TJMaxx (henceforth referred to as “teej” because we shorten everything) and had a riot.  We have the store mapped out to best maximize our short attention spans, our shopping highs, our grumpiness after shopping too long, and the cart space.  We start in purses, move to scarves, sunglasses, shoes, housewares, then clearance clothes, and lastly, regular-priced clothes.  We end it in the dressing room, making piles of yeses and nos.

It’s rather an exhausting process, but at least we have a map!  We also have a very full cart.  Every single time.  If you dare to believe me, it got taller than this after I took this photo.

And then sometimes we find funny things like this not-so-clever marketing package of an itty-bitty flask and a tape measure.  But, heck, at least it’s dressed up in purple gator!  Sold.

Shopping is more than piling our shared cart and taking turns being responsible for pushing it.  Shopping is just a means to an end of deeper friendships and forever-memories.  My heart is happy and full.  My bags were stuffed and my wallet is a little bit emptier, but it’s a small price to pay for priceless friendships.
