Here’s an embarrassing story about me and the Tracy family. When Caren scheduled their photos, I put it on my calendar like usual. Suddenly, on February 19th, I panicked when I looked at my calendar thinking, “Wait, I have a shoot today?!” (I should’ve been clued in at this point since my shoots send me a reminder several days in advance so that I can confirm and get ready.) So I, in a little bit of a panic, emailed Caren to confirm it. She called me back about 15 minutes later saying, “Um, I’m so sorry, but we scheduled it for March 19th. It won’t work for us today.” I flustered around, scrambling to figure out when it suddenly hit me, I was looking at March’s calendar instead of February’s and, coincidentally, the 19th was on a Saturday in both February and March. So, after that confusion (so sorry still, Caren!), you would hope things could only get better.
Well, guess what? They did. They got way better.
I was greeted at the door with some jackhammer-esque tools and two adorable, excited little boys. It was a hit from there on. Chad and Caren’s home is gorgeous with oodles of amazing natural light–dreamy for any photographer–and the whole family is just beautiful on top of that. How do I get so lucky?

Tracy family, thank you for welcoming me into your home and letting me run wild with the kiddos. Their smiles and giggles were totally worth every minute!
