“I have been waiting. Waiting for years to get a family portrait done. Waiting for our family to be complete. Waiting for the drooling to stop. Waiting for everyone to be able to sit up on their own. I think the waiting is over. Now, I am terrified. When to set an appointment? What to wear? Can a photographer really capture “that one moment” I will treasure always? What about background? Should we be in a field, by a painted brick wall, on a pretty sofa? Should we include the dog? I hope for perfection. I hope for laughter. I hope for “that one moment”. I hope I just make an appointment.” (She blogged that here.)
She did make that appointment and I was so honored to be the one she chose. The date was set and it was as humid and sticky as could be. The kids were troopers, but were definitely just as worn out and sweaty as the adults.
Cindy and Mitch, thank you. I truly hope I was able to capture that one moment and many more for you.
