I love chicken nuggets. Like, I could eat them every single day and not ever get sick of them. And though this isn’t a particularly “healthy” recipe, I do like they they are baked instead of fried. Plus, they are delicious. So, for the two people who requested the recipe, here it is! (I know, two whole people…I have such a following!) If you really want to do these up right, eat them with honey mustard. Holy crow, it’s delicious!
This is what you need:
- 3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- tablespoon dried basil
- ½ cup butter, melted
This is how you make it:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cut chicken breasts into 1½-inch pieces. In a medium bown, mix together the bread crumbs, cheese, salt, thyme, and basil. Mix well. Put melted butter in a separate bowl for dipping.
- Dip chicken pieces into the melted butter first, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place the well-coated chicken pieces on a lightly greased cookie sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
