As you might know already, I’m obsessed with Toms. Obsessed. I would have every single color in every single style if I could. Their One for One program is just an added bonus, but definitely kicks them over the top. (And for the record, I hate Bobs and refuse to buy from them.) I love the idea that me, in my shoe fashion, am helping a child get a free pair of shoes. That means something and I think about it every time I slip on my Toms.
So when I went searching for vintage eyeglass frames and stumbled across Warby Parker, I was hooked. Line and sinker. They, much like Toms, have a program called “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair.” For every pair of glasses I buy, they provide a pair to someone in need. That’s what I’m talking about! Plus, they have beautifully stunning frames! On top of that, I picked out 5 favorite frames, they shipped them to me for free, I tried them all, picked my favorite, played a thumbs-up-or-thumbs-down game with Kevin, placed my order, and sent the 5 try-on pairs back with pre-paid shipping. Brilliant! In a matter of about a week and a half, I had my beautiful prescription glasses at my door.
I fully support companies with great branding, great customer service, great products, and–like a cherry on top–great hearts for those in need. We need more Toms and Warby Parkers in this world.
