I’ve just been giddy to tell y’all this!

(And my guess is that you probably clicked over to here because you were just sure I was going to say that I’m pregnant. While babies are wonderful little human beings, there is no mini-Crall on the way. Sorry, folks. But to us, this is something nearly as exciting!)

WE BOUGHT A HOME!

We have been carefully saving, planning, cutting back, and watching our interest rates for the last 4 years all in preparation for this moment to put a down payment on a house, a place to call our very own. I feel so incredibly proud of Kevin and I for paying off all of our debts during our first few years of marriage (school loans, car loans, etcetera) so that we could have the financial freedom to save.

The entire process of buying a house happened quite differently than I ever expected (more on that later), but we felt at peace despite the crazy timeframe that it all happened in and we are so excited to be getting the keys just 3 weeks from today!

It’s been a roller coaster new year so far and we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2013 will bring!!

And don’t you worry, my sweets, there will be lots of photos to post (before & afters!). I’ve got paint swatches, style boards, textiles, and so much more in the works.
