- In a sudden burst of energy last weekend, I raided the house and started piles for tossing, Goodwilling, and selling. In the process of all of this, I realized that I am a hoarder. I blame this on my father. To his credit (and mine), I’m an organized hoarder. For example, the receipt for a pair of shoes might be 3 years old, but it is cataloged in the filing cabinet as “2010 receipts”. So there you have it. You wouldn’t believe how many trips we made to the dumpster… And really, it felt so good.
- As I was cleaning out said closets, I found some brand new cookie sheets–still in the packaging–that were gifts for our wedding…4 years ago. I don’t know why I hid them in closet, but lucky me! I can only hope I sent a thank-you card.
- This squirrel segment in “Africa” had me laughing/sobbing uncontrollably, hysterically, and ridiculously for about 10 minutes the other night. Kevin had to pause the TV while I tried to regain control. And apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks that whole dramatic 39 seconds was epic. Just google “african squirrel drops…” and you’ll get a whole slew of responses for that little video. You’re welcome.
- You know what bugs me the most about snow–of which we have a lot right now? When it gets all clogged up in my wheel wells. I like to put on my boots and just kick it. For some reason, that gives me such satisfaction.
- I know this year’s color is emerald–I’m very happy about that–but I am really still stuck on cobalt blue. I’m just going to go with it for as long as I can. (Although, I’m happy to announce that my emerald green bag is a happy daily accessory that is keeping me current with the times.)
