etting off of a two-week stint of the cough/cold/sore throat merry-go-round, one thing I’m really thankful for is my health.
Not even just that I’m feeling much better today, though I am very glad of that, I’m also thankful that for the most part of my life, I haven’t had to spend a lot of time at a doctor’s office or in the hospital. I know there are so many who are not as fortunate as I am in that regards. The silly thing about all of it is that I forget to be thankful for my health until something starts to hurt, say my throat. Then suddenly, all my energy and nerves are centered around my throat. And in those moments, I think, “Why have I not always been so thankful that my throat doesn’t usually hurt???”
So today, nothing hurts. Today I feel great. And I’m so very thankful for the lack of pain in my body.
