ecause of my wedding schedule, I took myself off of the worship team schedule at church over the summer and fall. But ever since my first Christmas choir four years ago, I’m a sucker for it. (Also, that Christmas choir was where I met my best friend, Sara. Bonus points to Christmas Choir!)
So despite the fact that I have a wedding and will miss the Saturday services, I will be up and at ’em at 6 AM for the Sunday morning services. The thing about Christmas choir that I love so much is, well, several things. 1) Christmas is my favorite holiday. 2) Ever since high school when our all-girls choir competed (and won) in regionals with the Hallelujah Chorus (chills, still…), I have been absolutely mesmerized by the level of talent that it takes to pull every single part together into one beautiful chaos of harmony & joy. 3) The level of celebration around Christmas for the birth of a baby who would save the world is phenomenal. And to be able to use my voice to sing my heart out is something that I’m so grateful for.
