Growing up in small towns, their parents went to school together so their families have long history, but Mollie and Dylan didn’t meet until high school, when their separate elementary and middle schools flowed into one. They were both a little nervous for their first date (“and also excited,” said Mollie), but their nerves were quickly settled. They agreed their relationship has always been very easy and both knew pretty early on that this was going to be their forever.

Dylan surprised her with the proposal, picking out the ring on his own (it’s stunning!) and proposing one Sunday in April when they got home from church. They reached out to me shortly after as I had just photographed Mollie’s cousin’s wedding several months before and I was thrilled to have their wedding date open!

For their engagement session, we met up in the countryside on the farm where Dylan grew up and now farms with his dad.
