It was a chilly day, but that overcast sky made for a beautiful, dramatic background against the rolling Iowa hills at Walker Homestead. (Fun fact: two weeks ago, my wedding at Walker Homestead was in the 90s and this one was a full 40+ degrees less!)
Rebecca and Alex chose the perfect fall color scheme, warm tones of cinnamon mixed with soft pops of blue. Their florals were stunning and brought everything together so well. With everything at Walker Homestead, we were able to maximize our time (no travel between venues) and get so many photos.
Their dog, Luna, came to join the fun too and was a perfectly well-behaved little girl. She had also joined us at their engagement session, but her role now as ring dog was much bigger. If you have a dog who you’re considering having at your wedding, please, please let these photos with Luna push you toward it! I have never had a single couple regret having their dog in their wedding photos, even if it does take some extra coordination and care.
I’m so excited for Rebecca and Alex to continue their relationship, now as a married couple and, as a special bonus to me, I get to see them again next spring at Rebecca’s bridesmaid Bee’s wedding!! (I had time during cocktail hour to pull Bee and Chris outside for a teeny tiny little photoshoot and it was the best!)Β
