If you want to speak my color language, look no further than Lauren and Matthew’s wedding. These shades of pinks and corals were absolutely perfect and so bright and fun for a spring wedding! The variety in the ladies’ dresses pulled everything together for the exact vision Lauren had.

The evening before, I met Lauren, Matthew, and their families and wedding party in downtown Iowa City for their private Catholic ceremony at Newman Catholic Student Center. It was a beautiful service and so fun to capture as a pre-wedding-day event. On Saturday, everything was hosted at Bella Sala which made for a smooth day for everyone.

Their engagement session last fall was on a beautiful Saturday morning before tailgating. We definitely had different weather on Saturday, including overcast, full sun, and some rain drops! But the temperature, especially out of the sun, was perfect for a spring outdoor wedding.

Lauren’s grandmother made these cake balls, which were not only gorgeous, but absolutely delicious!!! She made 800 of them, which, in perspective, is over 66 dozen!
