Their engagement was pretty short, only around 3 months, so the planning process was quick and decisive. They picked a date (“the 21st night of September”) and we did their engagement session right away so they could use photos for their invitations. Jacayla and Clayton are surrounded by close family and friends who did a lot of heavy lifting with them to get their whole day planned and it turned out absolutely perfect.
They chose bright, vibrant colors with pink as the main ingredient. Jacayla’s gown was stunning; a huge, sparkling ballgown that could not have been more her. They got ready at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, where the reception would be held later that night, and then we all went to Kalona Mennonite Church for the ceremony. Since they didn’t see each other before the ceremony, we took the whole wedding party offsite afterwards for photos and when I tell you they look like they’re in a fairytale, I am not kidding.

Are they not in a fairy tale?!
And ending this on a super special note: FOUR of my brides were at this wedding!!! Bethany married Bridget’s brother and Bridget married Jacayla’s brother and Jacayla married Abi’s cousin! And over the course of the past 12 years, I’ve photographed all of their weddings. I cannot tell you how full my heart was standing with all of them at the same time.
