It was a beautiful Saturday for Monica and Dustin’s wedding! It was warm, but not overly hot and, by the time the reception started, the sides of the tent were rolled up for a delightful, cool breeze. This was my first time at The Red Barn at Pine Creek Ranch and I loved the space! There were rolling hills, a pond, trails, and so much acreage to use.
Monica and Dustin’s relationship history goes back to high school, when they first met. They went on a few dates and even prom together, though there’s an unending argument over who asked who to prom. “I graduated and went off to college and we lost contact,” Monica said. “Six years later, he popped back up in my life. I know this sounds silly, but that first time we hung out after six years of not talking was when I knew he was the one. There was something special between us. When I opened the front door when he came to hang out and our eyes met, it was like time stood still for a minute and everything else just faded away.”
This past weekend, with their two daughters carrying their wedding bands, they were married on the dock by the pond, starting this next chapter of their relationship as husband and wife.

Parking is at the reception space, which is across the road from the ceremony location so they have a tractor-pulled trolley to take guests over and back.
I could live on this charcuterie board.
