Hi, I'm Emily.

Andrea and Mark’s wedding was so fun! When Andrea first described their hopes for their wedding, she told me, “We’re all about embracing fall and Halloween spirit. Our reception is going to be masquerade ball-themed, inviting guests to dress up, wear masks, hats, costumes, etc. We’re doing subtle Halloween decorations (jack-o’-lanterns, black lanterns, candles, and dried flowers) with a little art deco style thrown in. We both love to embrace our theatrical side and want a sense of drama for the day.”

I was so excited to see how they would pull this off (perfectly!) and I was blown away with not only how unique the day was, but how much fun everyone (including me!) had!

Andrea picked her gown, but then redesigned the whole thing by taking off the train and turning that lace into the stunning bell sleeves. It was the perfect gown for her and so beautiful to photograph. Those sleeves had me swooning all day and the way the light layers of her tulle skirt brushed over the ground as she walked was straight out of a fairytale.

Wilson’s Ciderhouse has the best fall foliage. We’ve had no rain and warm days lately so things are still greener than they would usually be this time of year, but the way the yellows and oranges are bursting through gives perfect fall vibes to match their theme.

Tell me this is not a perfect ceremony space in the fall. I dare you.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to change into costumes and they did not disappoint.

This was my very first time trying Turkish delight. My only frame of reference was The Chronicles of Narnia and, honestly, I had no idea what would be delicious enough to make Edmund betray his siblings. I’m a big fan now.

Andrea’s grandmother kicked off the reception with some Halloween songs on her accordion. Isn’t she the cutest?
