It’s been nine years since I photographed Stephanie and Sam’s wedding day and I still remember how much fun we had that day (and how hot it was!). In the nine years since, they’ve grown to a family of six and moved multiple times around the country. They knew they would be in Iowa this summer visiting family so Stephanie contacted me to see if I would photograph their family. It was so much fun meeting their babies and, of course, to see Stephanie and Sam again and catch up on life!!

We met up in the morning at the fossil gorge and, thank goodness, because it was already really hot out. The kids did so great though and I genuinely don’t even think it was because of the ice cream stop dangling as a reward for them afterwards. Look at these little faces…
