They met six years ago at a Brooks & Dunn concert at the Mississippi Valley Fair. She was there with a group of her friends and he was there with a group of his. Both groups merged during the concert and Ryan asked Sara if she wanted to get on his shoulders to “see better.” (She did.) Later that evening, he bought her a corn dog. “The rest is history and we haven’t been apart since,” she said.
Late last December, he proposed by telling her he had one last Christmas present and, when she opened it, he asked if she would marry him. She was speechless and said the proposal right then was totally unexpected because they weren’t getting each other gifts since they have just gotten back from a big vacation that was supposed to serve as their gifts to each other. This Christmas, they’ll be spending it as husband and wife!
We had the most beautiful September day for their wedding. The weather has been amazing; cool and crisp enough for sweaters in the morning and evening and warm enough for short sleeves midday. We began the morning at Knapp Creek Event Center, where the reception would later be held, before traveling to the church in Mount Vernon for their ceremony. Before we left for the church though, their dog, Timber, joined us for a few photos and he is indeed the goodest boy.
Congratulations, Sara & Ryan!! Enjoy these memories!
