Michelle and James had the most beautiful day for their wedding. This spring has been really tricky with lots of wind and a wide variety of temperatures so we felt extra lucky on Saturday with the sun shining and just a slight breeze. Michelle recalled that the weather was great last year on April 23rd as well, which was why she had a good feeling for a repeat this year.
We started the day at the hotel where Michelle and James were getting ready and then went to the church for their ceremony. We had a long break between the ceremony and dinner so we were able to meander around downtown for portraits, which is always a favorite of mine! Then we moved the party to Tin Roost in North Liberty for delicious food and fun conversations.
Back at their engagement session last fall, Michelle said, “I want to grow old with him, holding hands with him through all our experiences together. I want to see his smile every day for the rest of my life.” All of those things are exactly what I wish for both of them as well.
