Hi, I'm Emily.

I walked out of work tonight and spotted a naked bush, missing all of it’s leaves and strutting a bunch of mangled branches.  And I wanted my camera.  It was a beautiful bush.  It has been raining freezing ice all day and the ice perfectly coated the bush with a glittery, crystal sheen.  My whole drive home, I kept noticing the sparkling trees along the side of the interstate.  I love Christmas and I love Christmas lights on trees, but nothing–I repeat, nothing–can compare with the natural sparkle of ice-covered trees.  I think God knows that and just wants to give us a little more sparkle this Christmas.  It’s beautiful outside.

I grabbed my camera as soon as I walked in the door, threw on a hat, and went back outside.  I didn’t even change out of my flared skirt and tights!  (Brrr.)  Although it got dark too fast for me to capture the beautiful trees, I did get some pictures of the pines.  I’m kind of enraptured by natures miracles.
