There is a new class at the gym. It sounded exciting. Body Combat. See, doesn’t it sound exciting? So I went to class on Wednesday night. It was a little bit confusing since I’m not incredibly coordinated and I kept getting my legs mixed up with the kicks. All in all, still fun.
Yesterday, Michelle and I decided to do it again. Today I feel like I was roundhouse kicked. I kept waking up during the night every time I moved and I couldn’t figure out why. When I fully woke up this morning, I realized. It was because every muscle in my body is so sore that the slightest movement, even in my sleep, was enough to make me groan. I also taught Pilates today so now I’m just laying on my couch like a wounded warrior.
The stupidest part? I’m sure I’ll do it again. I mean, it’s hard, no question, but it is a fun workout. Plus, I was all hyped up for the rest of the day kickboxing around the house. And besides, it’s great anger management. For an hour, you get to imagine someone you don’t like and pretend like they are your opponent and you fight and fight and then at the end, you punch them to the ground. It’s like winning a little mini battle. (haha)
Anyway, enough of that. Even my fingers are sore. I’m going to rest.
P.S. This class totally better give me abs like that chic!
