Hi, I'm Emily.

I love coffee.  I love sipping coffee and looking through pictures.  I love taking pictures.  I love Canon.  I love reading about new techniques of taking pictures or manual settings to try.  I love it when my husband surprises me with treats that he knows are perfect for me that will make me, quite literally, giddy enough so that I dance on my feet in the gotta-pee dance, except that I don’t have to.

I’m going on a road-trip today for my first “official” wedding (that is not for a family member or that I am not in the bridal party and taking pictures).  Kevin will miss me this weekend, as I will miss him.  He got my a little “going away” present.

I have been obsessing over these Canon lens-look-alike-thermoses since the Winter Olympics when they were first handed out.  I, of course, wasn’t there to get one.  And I wasn’t Press.  And they were limited-edition.  So I didn’t have a shot at getting one for myself, but, boy, how I wanted one.

When Kevin got home from work with this little “gift” for me, he pulled a box out of his bag and when I saw the title, “Special Edition Canon EF Lens Collection Cup”, I did a little hoppy (and happy) dance and jumped right into his arms from excitement.

Guess who’s going to be drinking coffee today on the drive?  This girl.
