I had the great honor of photographing Garrison when he was very new. He was my second newborn shoot and it was slightly magical, really. He was sleepy and his parents had prepped perfectly for the shoot. Also–and I still insist this is a key factor–both Mom and Dad were calm, cool, and collected. They were totally fine handing over their tiny little bundle to me and letting me take him from the living room to the dining room to the nursery and back again.
Garrison is now 3 months old. I can’t believe how time flies and he’s not even my child! He is a precious little guy with the sweetest smile. He wasn’t sure what to do with three people trying to get his attention, but he definitely loves his Mama and Daddy. (Also, to note, I sing with Dad at church and so it was no surprise when he started busting out various bee-bops and doopidy-doos to try to get Garrison’s attention. It was awesome.)
They are such a beautiful family. I dare you to tell me that you disagree. You’d be crazy.
Let’s talk about the moment that Mom brought out this hat. I think that babies look freakishly adorable in hats, but LION hats?! There’s just nothing better.
And lest you ever doubt their love of this little boy, you can see it in their mannerisms, in their facial expressions, in their eyes, in their smiles. This child is loved.
Happy 3 months, little man.
