Rains earlier in the week had blown leaves to the ground and they crunched underfoot with the familiar sounds of fall. The day dawned beautiful; crisp but not uncomfortable. Their families were at the church early, still in comfortable clothing, putting last minute touches on the decor and relaxing in the couches the church lounge.
Mallory & Corey are high school sweethearts and their wedding day was filled and overflowing with long-time friendships and memories.
Mallory’s Maggie Sottero gown from Heart to Heart Bridal was a perfect fit for her. I especially love the lace underlay in the skirt!
After the ceremony, we went over to Iowa City’s Old Capitol grounds for photos. We had previously gone over the timeline of the day and knew that our time would be limited for photos, but due to the many nooks around the area, we were able to get a range of photos in a short amount of time!
Mallory and her sister/maid of honor! Loved seeing them laugh together!
The guys all had matching argyle socks that they were proud to show off. I tempted them to walk down the aisle with their pants like this, but, seeing their willingness, I took it back.
Their reception was held at the Sheraton and I was so thrilled to work with Emily Lemke’s amazing team there!
