She drew a hard line and lived by the rule that she wouldn’t date anyone she worked with. So when she transferred to the Coralville Hy-Vee, she didn’t think twice about him. In fact, he had been on vacation when she started and by the time he got back, she had preconceived ideas about who he was and wanted nothing to do with him. He saw that as “obstacle #1 of many to come.”
After declining many dates with him, she finally relented on the condition that they go out to eat somewhere out of town so there wouldn’t be a chance of running into any coworkers. During dinner, he talked about an opening at another nearby Hy-Vee store saying, “If I get the job, you won’t have an excuse not to date me.” In the end, his persistence made her fall head over heels and they are planning their wedding this fall in Des Moines.
I met with Anna & Cody this past Thursday at Bessie’s Barn for their engagement session. Despite the on and off rain all day, we managed to time things perfectly and didn’t get a drop of rain on ourselves.
I love how he makes her smile.
Anna’s makeup (just look at those eyes!) was done by Sharla Frakes and her hair by Crystal Arguello. So gorgeous!
