“We met at our old apartment building. We were neighbors and would run into each other on the elevator. I always had my bike that I kept in my apartment and my earbuds in. He always wanted to talk, but I was shy and in my own world! Then one weekend, we were both heading out at 8 am. I must’ve had my morning coffee right before because we started talking. He said he was new in town and didn’t have many friends yet so I invited him to come with me and my family on a boat outing we had planned for that day! We have been inseparable from then on out,” Anna says.
For the proposal, Matt brought their relationship full circle by planning it a year later on another family boat outing. “We were going out on the boat with my family again. He planned it to be the same time and place as our first date. I was about 6 month pregnant with our daughter and so hot on the boat. We went out and then docked on a beach. I didn’t want to get out because I wanted to sit in the shade on the boat and I think I ruined his proposal plan a little bit. He had my niece (who was 5 at the time) hand me the box with the ring in it. Instead of hanging it though, she threw it at me, which made me jump because I thought she found something in the water! Matt grabbed it quickly and gave it to me again.”
Anna’s idea of a greenhouse engagement shoot was amazing! I had never done an engagement shoot in a greenhouse before and I was thrilled to be doing something a little different and new (and I hope this will not be my last because it was amazing!!)! They brought their beautiful little girl along for part of the session and we had the best time together.
Do we think Maci stole the show? Yes or yes?
