What a stunning Friday at Little Lights on the Lane celebrating Kesha & Calvary’s wedding! When they met in 7th grade band class, I’m sure neither of them could’ve dreamed of this day, but it finally arrived and it was perfect.
I, for one, have been looking forward to this ever since I first met them and photographed their engagement session. They are the sweetest couple and truly a delight to be around. Seeing their friendship and love for each other made it a joy to photograph them together. You only need to scroll to see what I mean.
Two years ago, Calvary proposed at a sunflower farm, “somewhere I always wanted to go to and a slight hint from years ago that I thought would be amazing to be proposed to in one,” Kesha said.
“The flower field was not as big as I expected,” Calvary explained. “I was disappointed, but too nervous to do anything about it. I was focused on finding my photographer friend in the crowd. Once I did, I was focused on getting everything lined up. It was difficult and, after a while, I felt almost rushed. I had to propose soon and so I got down on one knee and asked her. She claims that she knew the whole time…”
“I had my suspicions leading up to the weekend…”
“But even still, she seemed shocked. I didn’t get a yes right away, but I began to put the ring on her finger and got clarification that she meant yes. The rest is history.”
Kesha added, “The best part was coming back to our condo with tons of our friends from across the country there to surprise me, which truly took me by complete surprise which is exactly what I would have wanted. Although Calvary did not stall for long enough for them to be prepared or even all there at that moment, the idea of it all is a very special memory of mine.”
And with all those important friends and family in attendance again, they promised to love and be loved by each other for the rest of their lives.
