They were living in Ames when they first met and they soon began going on regular walks through the cross country course. They had stopped at a bench one night and “we were just sitting on a bench together looking at the stars. He was so kind and so sweet and I just felt so happy and safe with him, on just a regular night, and I knew he was the one.”

This past weekend, they wove their lives together forever on a beautiful, sunny day in Iowa City. The sounds of the enormous, stunning pipe organ at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church filled the sanctuary the first time they saw each other. After their ceremony, we headed outside to the lawn and wild prairie area for pictures, pausing to take breaks in the shade. (It was mid-80s outside and definitely could have been much hotter for a July wedding so we were thankful for the “coolness.”)
