Hi, I'm Emily.

He is perfect.  He’s so tiny and soft and smells like Johnson + Johnson lotion.  I couldn’t get enough of him.  There were so many of their personal touches to incorporate into the shoot that I had an endless source of fun and entertainment too!  Mom & Dad just let me go with it.  I love sessions like this!

There’s a cool story with this mobile below.  Creative Mom had this paper (which matches the rest of the nursery) at baby showers for guests to write verses, prayers, and/or wishes down for the baby.  Then she made them into origami birds and Dad hung them with string.  It’s the most beautiful, meaningful mobile I’ve ever seen.
The quilt that Grandma Gilbert made for her first grandson.  (Grandma Gilbert, can you tell that he loves it already?)
Garrison loves him some Daddy kisses.
And some love from Mama who calls him “lovey.”  (I love how his mouth is hanging open in this picture!  He’s so relaxed.)
Now, I have to brag on Garrison’s mom for a little because she won’t brag on herself.  She is a hardcore, fabulous decorator!  She can see something in a magazine and, bam, make it herself.  Most of the things in their home (which is beautiful, by the way!) were snagged for free and/or cheap and then redone, upscaled, and brought to life by her.  The house is straight out of Pottery Barn.  So when Mom asked for some pictures of the nursery, I was overjoyed.  Um, yes, please!  Down to every detail, it is gorgeous and custom-designed.  (Yes, she did make the alphabet on the wall in case you were wondering.)
Welcome to our world, baby Garrison.  We can’t wait to watch you grow up.  (But please, stay this cuddly for a while yet!)

So cute! Also LOVE the mobile. I will learn to make origami birds so I can steal this idea.
